This document details application vendor support for Windows 7 and the results of software compatibility testing with the Windows 7 operating system.
All applications were tested on a fresh Windows 7 build, not an upgrade installation from Windows XP or Vista. Purpose Many applications which were compatible with Vista are likely to be compatible with Windows 7. This document attempts to document the Windows 7 compatibility for applications of importance to the UW-Madison community.
I tried using gimp but found it hard to find my way about. I should have said that I already googled it and did not get a definitive answer as there are conflicting answers out there so I thought I would ask the geeks :D. From what I read I am more inclined to think they do run but have some issues, therefore, I am wondering if I am right and if so how bad is the loss of some functionality.
Should I get version 9 instead? I would take the answer 1. I had to copy, not install the program and have had no problems. Going to take a look about and see what is the best deal I can get on version 8. Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7.
To take advantage of the latest operating system features, Creative Cloud apps don't support Windows 7 anymore. Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on January 14, For more information, see Windows 7 support ended on January 14, Windows 7 is no longer a supported operating system for Creative Cloud apps released from October onward. Our development efforts are focused on more modern and supported versions of Windows.
So, there will be no further development, testing, bug fixes, or patches for Creative Cloud on Windows 7.
