Keeping this in view and to prepare the students to accumulate the knowledge essential for Engineering syllabi in an effective way. The Centre for Faculty Development has been started by the University to conduct faculty development training programmes during Summer and Winter Vacations to cater to the needs of faculty members.

The Centre trains the teachers to plan and prepare the lessons, understand the subject contents and improve the teaching quality. To improve the quality of education, it has become essential to improve the teaching skills and knowledge of the teachers in the subjects they teach. These programmes are conducted during the Summer and Winter Vacations to enable the teachers to participate and benefit. Kindly refer it thoroughly. The program is open to faculty of Engineering Colleges and other allied disciplines in India.

This faculty development program FDP is devoted to addressthe need of technological developments in Biotechnology and its allied fields.

Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field that develops methods and software tools for understanding biological data, in particular when the data sets are large and complex. Selection will be done based on first-come-first serve basis to a maximum number of 60 sixty. Additionally, 10 participants from industry are allowed to participate. The list of selected participants will be intimated through e-mail. In case a candidate is not selected, the DD will be sent back.

Candidates will be issued satisfactory certificates on successful completion of the course. Reservations are followed for selecting candidates as per GOI norms. For Industry Participants fee is Rs. Bioinformatics now entails the creation and advancement of databases, algorithms, computational and statistical techniques, and theory to solve formal and practical problems arising from the management and analysis of biological data, particularly DNA, RNA, and protein sequences.

This FDP is intended to provide an insight on Basics of Bioinformatics and its applications in various fields with hands-on experience.
